On rare occasions if your physician is unavailable, the physician on call for the BFHC will assume responsibility for your care during labor and delivery of your baby. Your regular physician makes every effort to be available for labor and delivery. All deliveries occur at the University Medical Center Brackenridge.

Hospitalization
If you should require hospitalization, the Austin Academic Family Medicine uses University Medical Center Brackenridge and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas for admissions.

Your insurance plan may require you to be hospitalized within a specific network. Please review your insurance plan or contact your benefits coordinator if you need assistance.
